Coal Shed Diaries

Day One. Hot as a blue hell outside. Tour de France going through it’s own Hell of the North on TV, dusty too, 20K to go, hammer down.

Hunkered down in my bunker, keeping my cool, I write my business plan. Today it’s, How are you going to make money:

1. Trading
2. Funding
3. Commissioning
4. Fundraising

Trading will be both B2B and B2C, although the customer in the street would pay nothing at point of contact. Commissioning would be via Public Sector Contracts, either as a Project Manager, or a subcontractor.

Other sources of funding, would come from grants, trusts and PS Grants.

Finally we will look at social enterprise and other social or cooperative investment. Other opt are sponsorship or some kind of crowdfunding.
